We brought Louise in as a Consultant and Subject Matter Expert to help us reimagine our approach to Continuous Improvement.
Historically, we utilized part-time trainers, who gave 100s of hours of training to our organization of ~2,000 employees. However, the training was more informational than applied. Tracking the metrics was cumbersome, and results were difficult to quantify.
Louise worked with my team on a proposal to change to a project-based, mentorship-supported model. In addition, the results were to be measured based upon increased profitability through simplification projects (instead of # of training hours completed.)
To implement the change, Louise facilitated a global “train the trainer” workshop in Budapest. Louise helped participants utilize and apply the Continuous Improvement and Lean tools, to change the delivery model of the training. This approach resulted in the trainers championing the tools within their home countries, thereby multiplying their impact.
Louise’s interactive approach served as a model for the trainers, turning them into facilitators themselves. Her depth and breadth of knowledge enabled her to quickly understand and show us how to apply the principles to our unique situation. Her smart, effective approach put our new program years ahead of what it had been before!
